Proserpine is renown for its great fishing and being a Sugar Town, It has been voted Queensland’s Friendliest Town for the past couple of years.

It is the gateway to the Whitsunday Islands, Airlie Beach, Peter Faust Dam & Conway National Park.

The Local Sugar Mill is run as a co-operative and keeps improving its productivity by staying at the fore front of ingenuity. Farmers in the area have also diversified into other crops such as peanuts, soya beans, passionfruit, lychees, mangos, while some run cattle. This is the fastest growing area in Australia and is going through a major development boom which has seen the real estate market show as much as 400% growth in most areas in and around Proserpine in the past 4 years.
